Leanna Wong

Hi there, I’m Leanna Wong (she/her), and I am happy to be your GSS Councilor Alternate for the year! I am currently a first year MPH student, and my background includes a Bachelors of Health Science as well as being a registered diagnostic medical sonographer. My frontline healthcare experience working in public and private sectors in rural and urban communities inspired me to pursue my MPH. I am so grateful to be part of SFU’s MPH program, and am excited to see where this takes me. These days, my public health interests are Indigenous Health and Harm Reduction/Substance Use. When I am not working on homework, you can find me playing my banjo, doing my daily skin care routine, upside down in a headstand, jogging (as long as it’s a nice day), or looking for the next best donut to try.
